Catastrophe in Moving

Well I moved my 120 over the weekend. Careful to put everything in a large 100g tub over the weekend...something went horribly wrong and almost everything died...ALL of my SPS, my LPS don't look like they will pull through, shrimp---gone, and half my fish are gone.

My only guess is either the first night they were just on airpumps for circulation...but everything still looked great on Saturday when I moved...even gave Justin a frag that apparrently is doing well. Other than that it could have been that there was some die off as a result of the move and the water quality rapidly went downhill over the weekend. By Monday night when I was putting my tank back together after moving all weekend it was too late...and by Tuesday morning...total wipeout.

I still have my clam, my quadricolor bubble tip anenomes (5), two skunk clowns, a coral goby, an emerald crab...even the xenia died!

On the bright side, I can rearrange my rock now....

So sorry to hear. Glad to see you are trying to find the bright side. I would like to offer you a few frags to get you back in the game. I have some small Digis if you want some.

A wipe out that fast also makes me assume the die off traveled up the ladder taking everything with it. I can only imagine your frustration Tom, and I am trully sorry for your loss :( I already promised you a tort but now I'd like to give you all that I can when your tank stabilizes.Plz let me know!

That's very generous guys...I appreciate it. I think it will take a few weeks to stabalize again. I'm doing another 20g waterchange tonight.

It's very confusing since I moved the same way last year without any problems.

Like I said on the other thread, I will get you a piece of that ROAB milli when I takes off, I have a few others also you can have.LMK-Doug

I think it will be stable enough for frags again by the meeting...if any generous fellow reefers want to hook me up there.

I really appreciate it guys, and I would definitely return the favor in the future to any of you in need.

Well the tank is still not fully cycled so I'm going to have to wait to take you guys up on the offers until the October meeting...thanks again.

Tank is stable...just need to reseed the worms and bugs and get my janitors!!

I hope you guys are still open to giving me a few "starter frags" on the 20th.

Give who what?
