Why to catch them? They are a good addition to any tank. If you rally want to you can catch them using a piece of nylon socking with a piece of clam, fish or shrimp inside, the worms will come out at night atracted by the bait and entangle in the sock, take it out before lights on.

Nope, Although there are some variaties that may eat some of the pods in the tank those are usually rare and the great majority are detrivorous that help keep your rock pores and sand clean of debris and left overs.
