Catching a Chromis out of the Corner Overflow

I have a green chromis stuck in my corner overflow. He is rather small about 1" mabye 1.25" so he does have plenty of room (although vertical) and food makes its way to him. He has actually been in there about 3 weeks. But I would really rather him back in the display. The problem is I have a Durso and an emergency standpipe in there. I also had a clown end up in there at the same time. I was able to catch the clown bending my net in wierd ways that I could fit it in there... But the chromis is much smaller and faster, I will never catch him with the net.

Is there any really small traps that I could build that would catch him?

Any ideas?

If its a straight shot into your sump, pull the overflow pipe and let him take a ride. I have had fish go down with out any harm.

Turn off your return pump and take a hose to siphon out all the water that is remained in the overflow, then try net / catch him with your hand. I've done this before with my clown that was stuck in the overflow.
