catching a shrimp

what is the best way to catch a skunk cleaner shrimp? I am switching him for a coral banded shrimp at my LFS. I have had no luck trying to catch my shrimp and i don't want to take my rocks apart.

LOL... you have trouble catching him?
Mine will regularly come up and jump rightr onto my hand to clean under my nails and stuff.

Try a wide-mouth bottle with a piece of shrimp at the bottom. Rest the mouth up against the rocks and the shrimp shoule go right in. then put your hand over hte mouth or maybe a net and you should get him no problem.

Anytime i have caught them I just stick my hand in the tank and a clear specimen container. I put the container under my hand and when the shrimp starts cleaning my hand i slowly raise my hand out of the tank and they go right in the container.

yea mine use to clean my hand but he stopped a few months ago because when I was cleaning in my tank he was feting in my way so i swooshed him away, I didn't touch it. I'll try the bottle trick. thanks

Pretty high, depending on the size of your tank. CBS can be very territorial to shrimp AND fish. IMO, the skunk cleaner is a much more peaceful suitor for a reef tank. I'd get a cleaner over a CBS any day. Why are you wanting to switch?

cover a piece of table shrimp with a plate at night in the morning sipion them out htey say under the plate when they are full.
