Caught red handed (green actually)

This little guy was sitting in a patch of zoanthids tonight. I picked him up to put him in the sump just in case. When I picked him up I saw that he had two zoanthid polyps in his claws. I've had some zoo losses lately. Hopefully this explains why. It's about the best looking crab I've seen in an aquarium so it's a shame. If someone wants to try him in a fish only I'd be up for a trade. I'd also like to know if anyone knows anything more about this one.

I know that if it's not a filter feeder then it needs to be put into a "safe place" where it can harm nothing.

If it's a filter feeder then you don't need to worry about it.

It is not a Xanthid and it is not a swimming crab.

So it was carrying the polyps around like those pom pom crabs carry the anemone's?

It might have just been carrying the polyps around like that. Either way, I don't want him messing with them. So he can play in the fuge now.
