Caulerpa verticillata I think?

After doing some searching I think what I have growing rapidly in my tank is this Caulerpa verticillata. I dont have a pic yet but it is almost identical to this http://images.google.com/imgres?img...ulerpa+verticillata&svnum=10&um=1&hl=en&sa=N. However mine is limegreen in color. My question is, is this a good or bad algae, and how should I get rid of it. Thanks

i would say a good algae, looks easy enough to prune so it does not get out of control in your tank.

If you're trying to keep a reef tank, it's probably bad as caulerpa grows very quickly and can overrun your corals. It is possible to keep it under control though.

Caulerpa Verticillata can be as invasive if not moreso than other caulerpas. Probably not a good addition to a reef display. For removal you may find some herbivorous fish eat it although most will probably get too large for a 36g. You could try an urchin.
