:p  does it smell like skimmate?? :bum:

Interesting, I just pulled tons of the stuff (grape caulerpa) out of my tank. My disposal method? I give it to a friend who has tangs and other fish which chomps it all in a day or two (basically, I convert the caulerpa into fish! ;) )

Second way was I would rinse it in freshwater, then toss it into my worm composting bin and let the worms eat it.

Basically, I give it to something that eats it, but don't flush it down the toilet! I'm pretty sure NOTHING but bacteria could survive the sewage treatment process, but why chance it? Caulerpa in my tank grows insanely, and I've seen what it's been doing in the mediteranian. Bad news!

Well, I've not seen his tangs eat them, but I'm going over on Friday for dinner and I'll bring the bag of caulerpa for him, so I can confirm that the tangs eat them! If not the tangs, then it's something else in his tank.

The most probable way the algea got into the ocean was from the storm drain systems or dumping it into a stream. I dought it made it through a sewer treatment plant alive.
