Pericelis tectivorum, the GIANT Predatory Flatworm

Hi all, chat GPT told me that this in the pictures is a Pericelis Tectivorum, its was attached to the carbon bag I use in the sump and I feel so lucky that was there ready to be eliminated
Do you agree with the species? How possible that all animals are ok and I never saw one in the display tank? Should I be concerned and search for them?

The pics sure look like the description. I’ve been in the hobby since the early/mid 80s and never encounter one of these.

From what I’m reading they’re more a snail predator than anything else. So, if it was in the sump, maybe it was confined there. I wouldn’t go looking for more but, keep a casual eye out if it was my tank.

Yep, definitely looks like one. As mentioned generally a snail killer. I got two of them with some aquacultured Keys rock. I only found them out at night. I don’t actively hunt for them. Snails don’t last long anyway in my tank due to my hermit crabs.

Yep came in on my KP rock. Honestly if my wife hadn’t checked the tank randomly at like 12:30, I’d probably never know it was there.
