CB rainbow chalice

Question about cb rainbow chalices. If you frag a part of the chalice that just has red for example,would the frag eventually grow all the colors? The mother colony has red, orange, blue, and green.

My thought process is since these pieces are usually grafted together, if you only frag a piece with one color, the other colors wouldn't grow? Sorry if it's a stupid question, just trying to learn about the higher end pieces.

I would try to get a piece with a more even mix. I have a frag that was mostly green and blue with only some red/orange and now has 4 eyes that have continued with the same mostly green and blue with orange/red streaks. The more even the coloring the nicer it looks IMO.

The other colors will show up eventually, it will take a few years though. The other colors are in the corals DNA.
