Hello.
Could you please tell me, are there any significant differences (coloration, captivity tolerance, agressiveness, diet preferance, etc) in copper banded butterfly from the three origins listed? (Australia, Indo pacific, and Singapore)

Thank you for your inquiry. There is no significant regional variation in temperament, coloration, or markings with the Copperband Butterflyfish. According to Scott W. Michael in his book Angelfishes and Butterflyfishes (Page 192), Copperband Butterflyfish imported from Australia tend to do better in captivity compared to other regions due to differences in collection, handling, and shipment practices.

Additionally, Scott Michael mentions that some aquarists have observed that smaller individual fish of this species, no matter the location, do better in captivity compared to larger specimens. If we can be of additional assistance, please feel free to let us know.
