CBB question

I have a cbb, small hippo and a tomini tang in 90g. I want to move these fish to my main DT which is 250g. I have a naso, 1 hippo, purple tang, mystery wrasse and a flame angel in the 250. The CBB is doing great in the 90 and he eats out of my hand. Will there be any problem with me adding these 3 fish to my 250?

Adding nearly anything to a tank with an established Purple tang is going to cause some aggression but it might be okay.

Should work - but nobody will give you a guarantee..

As mentioned Purples can be aggressive, but a yellow would be worse i guess..

Just make sure the 3 new ones are healthy and be ready to catch em out if you must

Good luck!

I know my purple can be mean. I thought he was going to kill my Naso, but he settles down in couple days. I am thinking, since I am adding 3 fish at the same time the purple wont be going after the CBB all the time. HE has to divide his agression between the 3 fish.

If your rockwork allows, divide the tank with a large piece of eggcrate. Keep the potential aggressors (mainly the purple) on one side and add the new fish on the other. Let them get used to each others presence without being able to fight for about a month.

An excellent idea if it is doable for your tank.

CBB- Copper banded Butterfly.

There is no way for me the seperate the tanks. I am going to leave the CBB in the 90 for now and may be add him when I get ready to rearrange the rock work.
