Hi,

First off I want to thank you for these gorgeous frags! I am more than impressed and the sale price makes me even more shocked at how nice these are.

I was wandering if anyone can help me ID the frags i recieved.

Thanks,

Wes

JER-Z,

We are happy to hear you are pleased with your new corals. We would be happy to assist you in identifying them. In the first photo starting from the front left going clockwise they are; Acropora loisettae, Seriatopora hystrix, Acropora albrohensis, Stylophora pistillata, Acropora secale, and Acropora austera. In the next photo you have starting again from the front left going clockwise; Acropora hyacinthus, Montipora digitata, Pocillopora damicronis, and Acropora prostrata. As a side note the Acropora secale requires high intensity lighting and we would recommend moving it to a higher spot in the aquarium.

thank you luci.

So you recommend I move up the secale immediately or slowly? I have MH lighting, thanks.

Also if it's not too much trouble. Can you tell me the Foster & Smith "Nicknames" of each so I can look up the info on each from the website and see what it should color up to? Right now i'm having a hard time matching up the scientific names to the pictures on some of them.

Thanks Again,

Wes

JER-Z,

We would recommend moving the Acropora secale up gradually. At this time leave the coral at the bottom of the tank for about a week, and then move it up a couple of inches every few days until it regains the dark purple coloration. The common names for the corals that you have are:

Acropora loisetteae - Lupine Staghorn
Seriatopora hystrix â€"œ Birds Nest Coral
Acropora albrohensis â€"œ Green Albrohensis Acropora Coral
Stylophora pistillata â€"œ Butternut Stylophora Coral
Acropora secale â€"œ Purple Haze Acropora Coral
Acropora austera - Yellow Miyagi Tort Acropora Coral
Acropora hyacinthus â€"œ Blue Mesa Acropora Coral
Montipora digitata - Indigo Digitata Montipora Coral
Pocillopora damicornis - Pink and Green Pocillopora damicornis
Acropora prostrata - Green Prostrata Acropora Coral

Thank you so much luci, this is exciting. The purple haze is one of my favorites on te website. I just wasn't sure if that's what I had.

Thanks again,

Wes
