Center Brace Broken!!!!

Help!!! I have a used 120 gallon glass reef tank and the center brace broke in the middle (I suspect something cracked it in the past and a very slight pressure caused it to snap) What do you recommend to repair it? It seems to me that a stainless steel or acrylic piece bolted to the brace should take the load. Am I going in the right direction? It seems to be holding for now with no noticable bowing but I’m worried.

I agree a pieace of acrylic shuold work well. Make sure the bolts are coated with silicone or something that will stop any salt water from contacting them dont allow corrosion at all. I did something like that a while ago on someones tank for them .
I used plastic nuts and bolts. good luck with success.

Krazy and Amos got the right idea. Believe it or not I wish this would happen to our 75. I hate that thick brown center brace......it just seems so resrictive for lighting.
