Center Overflow vs Back of Tank

Thanks to those responding on my other thread about glass vs acrylic, Either way i go(leaning towards glass now) the tank will probably be custom built. I am looking at a tank in the 180-215 gal range. Spec wise of 72L x24Hx27W. My wife would like to be able to see the tank from multiple sides since it will be in my living room. I am thinking of either 2 corner overflows or 1 dead center of tank overflow. I know if i go with the center design it will give me 360 viewing. Any drawbacks to a center overflow?

thanks
Ben

In a tank that is only 24" wide, a center overflow will be hard to aquascape around. Most 4 sided overflows are going to be a minimum of ~6" square. That only leaves 9" on each of the two sides to aquascape with.

In my recent quest to have a 420 glass 5/8 "built , I wanted to go two centre overflows, for 360 viewing, my tank builder really discouraged from this as he was concerned with supporting the overflow's, glass overflows though, but he explained that having a seal only on the bottom glass was a concern to him, and I do run a wavebox, will be two in the 420, one persons view but it seems reasonable.

I was going to center as well but was also talked out of it.I have 3 side view and made it a room divider with one side for overflow. very limited pipes and things showing

cool!

I finally made a decision on acrylic!! specs may change to a little larger, but at the moment it is 72Lx27Wx24H.

Thanks to everyone that offered their opinion and experiences.
