Central Nervous System /Brain Infection

I have a scribble angelfish in my HT I am treating it for a traumatic ulcer on its head. I am not sure how the ulcer came about I think it was harassed by my emperor and while trying to escape during a chase hit its head on reef rock.

This ulcer simply will not heal. I tried biopatch, bifuran, and maracyn 2. Each separately, I also did frequent water changes.

Yesterday i found the fish no longer eating and it is constantly spinning and swilmming upside down. This appears to be a poor prognostic sign. I wonder if the infection has done damage to the animals brain, or maybe it is a swim bladder problem.

Has anyone seen this type of behavior before? If so has anyone saved a fish exhibiting this type of behavior? I am not sure what to do. I almost want to euthanize the animal by putting it in the freezer. Any suggestions?

I had a fish do this and he died shortly after. I don't recall if anyone has had success treating a fish demonstrating this behavior. Btw I euthanize with clove oil. It's used as a sedative for fish. Aquarists use it to perform skin scrapes or to file the teeth on puffers. But if the dosage is high enough and you leave the fish in long enough they just pass away.

I doesn't sound good.. Clove oil works well, I've heard alkazelzer works also for euthanizing fish. Have never tried it before though.

Nitrofurican green powder may have been a good course of treatment.
