Ceramic tile plugs

Im sure its all over the net and I couldnt find it.....but...

I have a bunch of encrusting corals and frags that are doing great that are on some "ocean wonders" aragonite plugs and I want to keep the growth going on tiles so I can add them to my frag tank collection so I don't have to snip the corals to frag.

Can I use ceramic tiles like back splash sections or some other tiles from an local hardware store as long as they arent glazed painted or treated in any sort?

Do they need to be fried, I should look for 100% natural correct?

If you have already found and used some successfully what were they and where did you purchase them from.

Thanks

I could be wrong but I could've sworn I saw some at one of the LFS around here at one point. If not, I've ordered them from bulkreefsupply.com before.

I use tiles for clownfish egg deposit sites. they are commonly recommended in the litterature on clownfish rearing. I'm not aware of any reason not to use them for corals.

Thanks TMZ for reply, I picked up some ivory tiles an assorted bunch from 1/4 inch square to 2 inch squares. Boiling them now.
