cerium oxide

I found an article on the internet, that scratches could be removed from glass aquariums using this. (Cerium oxide) Has anyone tried this? Looks like a lot of work, but if it works....I might try this.

I use the stuff on windshields.....Its ok. it will not take out a scratch if u can feel it with a fingernail. And if the scratch is so so it can distort the glass....make it look wavy.

Thanks. I can't feel the scratches with a fingernail, and actually I'm not even sure I'll see them once it's filled. Thought, I'd see what people thought.
