Chaeto and Alkalinity/Calcium levels

Does Chaeto consume alot of CA and ALK? I know it all depends on how much Chaeto but compared to other macros does it consume alot?

Not sure about alk but I dont' think cheato consumes any calcium.

I've never noticed any real difference in alk and calcium demand in systems with abundant chaet. growth as compared to tanks without it.
