Chaeto Question

I've had my Chaeto for about 3 weeks and it doesn't appear to be growing. Actually, the color looks to be fading. I'm using a 6500K cfl in clip on work light. I've read that a lack of nitrates and/or phosphates can slow or stop chaeto growth. If this is true for my case, is there anything I can do to get it to grow?

By the way, there is only a small CUC in the DT at the moment. New fish in QT.

Thanks!

This is probably not the answer you were looking for, but chaeto not growing is actually a good thing. Nobody wants algae growth. (coralline aside) Unless the lighting you have is not strong enough, consider yourself lucky that there's not an abundance of nutrients in the system right now. (fuel)

That makes a lot of sense! I'll just let it be. Thanks!!!
