Chaeto question

Is there a way that I can use chaeto in my tank if I don't have a sump??? I have a 30 gallon non-drilled tank with assorted zoas and GSP.

Can I put chaeto into my penguin biowheel? I've read about the benefits of having it but can't figure out how to get some in my tank.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

I clipped a wad to a seaweed clip and hid it behind my LR about 1.5 months ago. I also put a wad in the preskimmer box of my PS. Both areas get plenty of light and flow. It has helped a lot.
I am about to buy an AquaClear Power Filter to use as a mini fuge.

Thanks for the reply. So you're going to use an aquaclear and instead of the sponge/carbon you're going to throw in some chaeto?

I am currently doing the same thing with an aquaclear. I used to have the aquaclear for a fuge with live rock, but now I got some chaeto, so we will see what happens.

I have chaeto in my aquaclear i got for $13 off of dr foster smith. With my clip on power compact, things are growing pretty nicely.

$13 seems like a rip-off. If you go to local reefer meetings, they trim down their sumps and sell a whole large zip-lock bag for like $3-5.
