Hi,
I'm setting up a 40g breeder which has a section for a refugium. Sump is set up left to right as (1) drain/skimmer chamber, (2) return chamber and (3) refugium. Currently I have a 12" high piece of glass baffle which separates the refugium from the return chamber.
I have teed off the return to feed the refugium.
How do I keep the chaeto from overflowing into the return section and potentially clogging the return pump? Do you use some kind of teeth at the weir? Another glass baffle? A filter pad projecting above the weir? Or is the flow usually slow enough that the chaeto stays put in the refugium?
Thanks for any advice/help.
