I got Caulerpa nummularia, anyone got problems with that going sexual often?

It should be fine as long as you keep it lit 24/7.

I use both in my fuge. I used to run a 24.7 light cycle, now im trying to switch over to a reverse cycle. I have been running it for a few wks now. No changes to water quality, or fish/coral behavior.

I run reverse cycle and every thing is perfect. I have noticed how fast the caulpera is growing just after a week of having it it has grown at least a couple of inches. I cant really tell on the chaeto.

OK, Dumb question time.
What is meant by these algaes going sexual.
I am not exactly sure so if i am wrong someone correct me. I think it is when the plant letso out all of its nutrients and otherstuff so your paremeters get really screwd up. They do this so they can spread to other places i think.

Cheato is good but the feather caulerpa looks nice. Feather caulerpa has a nice look to it and is pretty that I have put it in my display before and I believe it does not go sexual.

When it turns white it is releasing itself back into the water, this usually happens when there are no more nitrates and phosphates for it to feed on. The water will turn foggy or grey-like. I use both types of macro in my fuge. Lighting 24.7 greatly reduces the chance of sexual reproduction.

What do you guys do to get rid of the yellowing effect the macro's cause?

Bob^2

Haven't seen a "yellowing effect" myself; but I run carbon so that may be preventing it
