Hi Ostrow, enlighten me a bit about caulerpa, I haven't had any experience with it. Always kept chaeto when I had my tank before. Is it better than chaeto?

I don't think there is "better" or "worse".
I get my starter/booster packs from IPSF. They have several kinds of chaeto. This stuff grows for me. I never had luck with anything else....slow or no growth, chaeto for me just died.

You are welcome to some, but to be honest if you are starting a new system, I'd get the IPSF Mix n Match, or evn the super, and jump start your fuge and (if going that route) sand.
