Chalice tissue recession

I have a Miami hurricane chalice that started receding tissue. After researching RC, I troubleshot the problems to a change in lights (MH to LED) and low Mag. I've made adjustments to the mag and move the chalice to a more shaded location. The tissue has been holding strong for about a week now and my question is will it regrow over the Skelton? Just curious what to expect.

I had one that was damaged from a red mushroom, and just broke off the skelton part.

trim the old exposed dead skeleton back to the flesh and it will be fine.

Yeah take off the old skelly and u should be fine

One of my Chalice frag is doing the same thing, I believe.

Basically, at night time I will see a little bit of the lower part shrink back, and then in the morning time it will be back out and expanded. The amount that it shrinks and expands each day is perhaps 1 or 2 cm, at must. But I am very observant of my corals and notice everything.
