Makes me wish I had pics of the one I just got rid of.
Gave it away to Reefski recently.
Had to use a Salt bucket , and had to turn it on it's side, it wouldn't fit flat on the bottom!
2 Tiers of the same Challice, FTW.

REEFSKI, if you are out there... Post a picture!

Really REALLY nice stuff in this thread.

I found a picture of the large one that I just got rid of, only this pic was when I acquired it. I would say it was about 12 x 18 x ~5 inches stacked/tiered. Still hoping Reefski sees this and has a new pic :)

I use 400w 12k reeflux bulbs, and I had it out in the light for a few months. It greyed out drastically, and went light blue and grey. So I moved it back under the overhang in the shade about a month ago, and the deep red color is coming back. It is about half of the "richness" that it used to be right now. I am hoping it darkens with time. Originally, it was blood red, with orange "eyes". But the grey areas now make it appear like lightning strikes, so it looks pretty cool. It was/is not a signature piece, and I bought it for a great deal. But it is a very very slow grower.

Blue Chalice... two years old, grown from a 1/3" frag.

It's grown to about 8 inches.

(Of course, I sudenly have Michael Scott (Steve Carrell) lines from NBC's "The Office" ringing in my ear. )

This Hollywood Stunner is right at 6 inches across.

Some pink lemonade to finish things up!

My red chalice has grown one inch, maybe a dozen new eyes, in about 15 months or so. Super super slow grower.
