Chances of getting Clarkii's together peacefully

well here is my situation. I just ordered a Clarkii from ORA in hopes of getting a good specimen for my other clown today and to my surprise he was not black, but orange? Is this gana not work at all? I rather not let him lose if it will not so he doesn't have to get killed. He is a bit smaller than what I assume is the female and they dont seem to get trying to attack each other through the mini tank in the bigger tank. And do they change colors as they mature?

the tail back fin on most females turns white and the males will usually retain some yellow or stay all yellow.

id say give it a few days, does the oranges one have blue eyes(looks like eye liner on the top of eye?)? i love that type of clown.

Just give them some time. I have the same two clowns. My black Clarkii is bigger then the yellowish version and i didn't see much fighting. Now they host in my bta.

well for a little update........

the yellow Clarkii has darkened up a bit and after a little over a week in the tank I let him go and he was instantly attacked, now he hides behind the rock work and never comes out. So I have no clue if this is going to work.

Are clarkii's any less aggressive than the other clowns? I have a BTA I inherited that came with a tomato clown. Sure enough, the tomato clown had to go back to the LFS due to serious nippage of everyone. My BTA is happy without a clown, but they sure are pretty with one. Recommend one that is less aggressive than others?

well they are just as mean as the meaner of the other clowns, but even a mean clown can have a mate. I wouldn't take the original Clarkii out though, he is quite happy in there and he doesn't bother the other fish.
