YEsterday I got my new 130w PC light so that I can start keeping corals in my 10g nano. Some of my coralline on the top started to turn white but it appears to have stopped. WIll it recover or get worse? I didn't know a lighting changed affected coralline algea. I should be able to grow more now, the old light was just an NO hood light, no actinic.

Same thing happened to me when I switched to halides. It will grow back. You just "sunburned" it. It's just like having a houseplant indoors all winter and then taking it outside and leaving it in full sun all day long. You will shock it. Sometimes we forget that the beautiful purple blanket on our rocks are plants. As long as your params. are ok it will grow again.
