Changeing salt

I'm going to be switching from Red Sea to Red Sea Coral Pro and wanted to see if this is something that can be done done one water changeor if I should 1 week mix 3:1 then 1:1 then 1:3. The reason I ask is that the new salt has a higher alk along with other things like ca and mg and I don't know if a sudden rise in any of these would cause a problem. Although the rise shouldn' be too great as i'm still only doing 10-20% water changes on a 10 gal QT and 29gal DT depending on the nitrate levels.

On a side note I wasnt away that temp effected S.G. I keep my tanks at 1.025 at 80F. I wanted to double check this is correct.

Thanks

There should not be a problem if you keep the first two water changes to 10%. If you have any of the old salt left over you could also make a larger water change and simply use a 50/50 mix of the old Red Sea and the new Red Sea Pro salts.
