changing blenny

its changing colors, and I dont think it is sick or anything like that but seems very happy grazing on liverock and seaweed, doing some wierd dances where he bobs up and down, sailfin also seem to have a realy nice color change and he spreads it out for me every once and a while

Might be normal... my yellow tang changes color depending on the lights. (light yellow during the day, pale under acintics, and a red spot/whitish when totally blacked out)

My 3 stripe damsels did the same; being somewhat faded till I brought them to a brightly lit aquarium. And even then, the dominate damsel tended to have brighter/more defined colors.
I've removed him for being a snot.
The other damsel is now considerably better looking in terms of color.

Think it might be a mating thing?

mine did the same thing, they change to blend in w/ thier environment. he was probably hangin out near the sind or on a bright rock. these guys are masters of camoflauge. the 1st one i had i thought died cuz once i put it in i didnt see it for 3mths , then i just happen to catch his eyes on a rock. if u have plenty of algae and his stomach is fat u should be alright.
