Chapter Host Request

Clown-N-Around

New member
Hi! I wanted to post this so if anyone is interested in hosting a chapter meeting they could contact the appropriate chapter board and get on the schedule!

Longmont to Cheyenne: north@rmrc.info
Boulder to South Denver: denver@rmrc.info

FAQ:
Do I need to have a topic?
-No. If you want to present a topic, great! If not, the club has speakers on DVD or can help find a presenter for a topic of interest.

Do I need to provide food?
-No. Many hosts offer a snack, but it is not a requirement.

Do I need to have any materials available?
-No. There is a traveling meeting kit that has tickets for the raffle, sign-in sheet, name tags, etc. If you are presenting and want to have a handout, that might be the only material you would need to make available.

Does my tank need to be "perfect"?
- Is anyone's tank perfect? No! Please don't wait to host until it is perfect, because it will never happen. If you want to scrape the glass it will make it easier for us to see in and marvel at your creatures . We also like looking at tanks-in-progress, so you don't even need to have a tank up and running.

If you have any other questions, let us know.

Chapter meetings are in odd numbered months (September, November, January, March, May, July).

Please post in this thread and email the appropriate chapter board if interested: north@rmrc.info or denver@rmrc.info

I am interested in hosting a meeting in a few months, after the wife and I get settled into our new house and the tanks rebound.

Christina,
If no one steps up, the north can always come to my place. Nothing ever seems to stay the same with my stuff so it would be something fairly new.

.......... As I'm trying like hell to stay with the hobby but fear I am loosing.......

I can say BIG 2nd to this....it's been very hard to keep engaged with the hobby as so much going on.

I would be interested in hosting a north meeting. I am in frederick. It would be boring to look at my tank though due to the only piece to it is the skimmer.

Well, I suppose it's time to wade back in. If anyone is interested in wood tank building and wants to see a reasonably large wood box full of water (finally), I will throw my hat into the ring for this fall.
CAUTION...there may not be much to look at but the hardware and about 1,000 gallons of saltwater.

bilabong and Del -

Great! If Charlie does September, you guys could do November and January. Nice to have you both back :)

OK Denver - we need some hosts here :strange:

Del -

Since we have a program for September, what if we moved the North new reefer session to November and you could present it at your place?

- since it was originally your presentation and all... :D
