Cheap lighting?

Well i was thinking about setting up a 30 gallon cube i have laying around and well i found this http://www.hellolights.com/40methalretk.html It comes with a free bulb and i guess you can't beat that, but i'm thinking it may be to much light. Also how do you wire a magnetic mh ballast? I want a mostly sps nano.

ya thats way overkill for a 30 cube. You'd have to have it so high up off the tank that it'd light up the whole room lol. You'd get sunburned sitting on the couch

It comes with directions on how to wire it btw. At least there should be a diagram on the balast. It really isnt that hard, and i know nothing about electrical crap other than it uses electricity and wires lol. Its like building Lego's

you gotta buy the bulb w/that one too tho, so its gonna be like 180 at least in the end.
