cheato smaller in size not growing?

evening everyone.

i've had cheato in my sump since october. this was the first time ive used chaeto. i put a little light up top (15w if i recall) that comes on at night. i've noticed that my cheato has decreased in size and has not grown bigger. any reaosn for this?

if it has to do with the light source, do i need any special light? i was told any light will do.

Mine never grew until I started dosing Fe. The Kent Iron & Manganese is what I use.

Also, your fuge light is on the weak side. I use the 35w CFL (6700k) and it grows Chaetomorpha very well.
