Nice set-up , how many gal's ? And how many watts of light ?

How many gal's.....1 gal (andrea)......:)
Lights.......8x54=432 Watts....just a guess

The tank is roughly 45 gallons, 48 x 18 x 12
The light are 432 Watts, 8 x 54 W T 5's , 4 Aquablue Plus, 2 Blue Plus and 2 Actinics.

I am planning to make some minor improvements on it over time, but so far the zoas seem to like it, everything is open and looking better than in a long time.

Now I have to figure out what I am going use to lay around the frags to let them spread on. Any ideas?

My suggestion would be to lay about 20 lbs of my live rock around your frags....and I will pick them up in about 8 weeks......
:)....New Tank looks awesome Andrea

Looks awesome, but WOW that's a lot of light. I run 4 T5s over my display tank as my primary lighting, plus about 2 hours of MH each day, and that's been enough to keep anything I want. Just be VERY careful acclimating, that tank looks really shallow.

I have some spare LR in my refugium that I'd be happy to let you borrow until you find something better to put in there.... :D

Andrea, we just got the same dimesion tank but actually 10" tall, love it. (4) NO T5's will light and grow corals in that size tank very well, (8) bulbs should aboslutely frow some serious corals! Good luck, JOHNNY

I agree, I think 8 bulbs will be awesome! It's hard to give zoanthids too much light anyway.
