Check out my new puffer... DD pic

they just had a couple good articles in this months CORAL magazine on tobies. one specifically about the leopard. might want to check it out.

Hi Sedo, I noticed that. Is there a free access or do I need to buy a magazine? I can't figure it out on the site but really do want a copy!

Hi VG, I did get a pajama cardinal trio as well, but they came in a couple days ago. I was originally getting a C. Solandri puffer, but they backordered it and sent me just the rest of the order. I later decided to change up and get the leopard instead... so, nothing else in this shipment, just the puffer. I was only charged shipping the one time since they had backordered my stuff.

Read the article- very cool. It contradicted a lot of the info given on these forums. For example:

The author of the Leopard Toby article suggests feeding mainly cyclops that will embed in the rock so the toby can work for it and keep its teeth worn. People on the forums recommend shrimp all the time, but the author maintained that this is too much free food and they won't wear their teeth enough on this.

Also informative was a statement that it would be cruelty to put these guys in an sps garden tank as they don't particularly like bright light. I think I might use my 4x T5s instead of the halide as I had planned before. I'd been considering it anyhow, and was probably going to make this tank a mixed tank without any acros (I might throw in some montis, but won't put anything expensive in there.)

Anyhow, I'm really excited and feel like I have a better idea of what to expect now. :)

article good, but flawed

article good, but flawed

the article was good, but make many finite statements that just are NOT always true...(as very little is always true)

only valentini might take flake?...wrong my Papua will only eat flake

also they are successfully breeding several species, but just letting other fish eat the eggs and not raising the young!? :blown: , this is NOT RESPONSIBLE REEFKEEPING by any means.
