check out these octopus skimmer

I have an octopus DNW-200 and I would not recommend it to anyone. It constantly needs tinkering. I have to flush the air intake with water daily to clear the salt creep otherwise it stops skimming. When I flush it the water level drops and the bubble column collapses so it has to start over every day. I am going to mod it to hopefully fix the problem, but you shouldnt have to mod a product to get it to function properly. Just my opinion.

I have a recirc octo NW 200 external that pulled out a ton of crap before I went skimmerless and it always worked fine. I also have an in sump NW 150 that did a good job. I guess I should get rid of them one day?? I will probably hang onto one for my temperate tank though.
I never had a problem with what you are experiencing?

Edit after PM's
I should also state that I am not going to sell either one at the moment and do not know if I ever will. The new tank will not be up at least for another 5-6 months. Neither is for sale sorry for the confusion-I was not trying to sell them.

I cant do the smokes only chew. The beer is too valuable to sell! I have been hording it in my basement and crawl spaces for about three years now. I figure I have around 4000 cases for when the aliens hit and Kaos takes over out world. I have a special bunker that is taste specific according to qty remaining, so unless you know what is on hand you cant get in.
Below the beer cellar is a fully functioning hydroponic "vegetable" garden that cant be detected by inferred cameras on planes or helicopters.

The aliens will have to use their uberstatmyothc sensing device if they ever want to find it. A few years back I spent some time in Utah and I learned that it is important for the human race to survive, they must keep supplies in case of a disaster. It is good to hear from you and how are the dirt roads?

My DNW-200 rocks. It is heavily modded though. I don't run the mesh but my own designed needlewheel. Mine pulls about 32scfh@68watts
I do boil a little RO water in the mic and let it be sucked in the venturi hose every week during clean-up time but that is just my routine. The skimmer performed great also with the mesh-mod I just got tired of doing it every three months and made my own.

Don't give up on her yet....Plenty of info here on RC about them. For the money OCTO's are hard to beat.

I have an octowussy nw 200. Not impressed. My etss 800 out skims this thing at least 4 to 1. I guess I need to try and mod mine too.
