Check these out...

Not bad for wild heads.
This part is honest, but scary...

** Due to recent wild shipemnts and increasing number of Zoanthid Eating Nudibrants from the distributors, We have cleaned out entire zoanthdis prop system and using both Lugol and Tech-D plus Fresh water dip with the new and old colonies of Zoanthids at least twice before offer them for sale. we belive that this method will ensure you get a healthy and pest-free zoanthids for your reef. I hope this will insure you conidenc on buying these beautiful animals, Sincerely, Anthony -Aquadesignz- **

Be careful buying colonies with polyps closed up like some in the pictures. That is usually a dead giveaway.

Couldn't that just be from touching them, taking them out of the water, and or the freshwater. Not just from pests..

Sure, but wouldn't you wait until all of the polyps opened? Because they probably won't.

That's the risk you take buying wild colonies.
If you want to take the chance, then buy it. You'll learn quickly to not do that again if it does have nudis.

I know the guy of aquadesignz ... Anthony is a really nice guy and well a nice store too and well i got some colonies of him and they are doing great except one time i got one that dissolve to nothing and all the colony was fully open when i got it ... so i guess is hard to keep some of the wild zoas but he does have some amazing colonies what he has on the web is nothing comparing of what is in store he has tons and different ones... i love to go see all the different zoas the problem is that they are wild and some really over price...

But if you close to Rowland Hts, CA 91748 you should go and see what he has you wont regreat it...

actually, I just purchased from Anthony and the zoas are amazing, all the polyps are open or on their way to opening and he does great customer service.

Yes he always has very beautiful zoanthids, but it is up to the buyer to quarantine and inspect each colony wild or not.

z-17 take a closer look:)

CORALFARM123 what an eye you have wow i didnt realize the in pic Z-17 their is that spiral snail that eats zoas.. what is called i forgot???

I've bought zoanthids from Anthony before and received some really nice stuff. But he has warned you. He is selling fresh from the wild zoanthid colonies, so if you don't use q-tank, dip and inspect your zoanthids and you lose everything it's your own fault.

I just removed one of those from my tank not to long ago.. Check it out.

By the way the zoo dip recipe that is offered within the zoo forum good enough for wild zoo's or should another method be used?

The dip is a very good way to help protect your colonies. Dips should be used for all zoanthids, wild and aquacultured along with close visual inspection before and after the dip. Freshwater dips usually don't take care of all the pests especially sundial snails and many crabs so you must remove them by hand. Ideally, dips work best in conjunction with a quarantine period in a seperate tank, but most of the time this is not always feasible for most hobbyists.

With that being said. I would not hesitate to buy any of the zoanthids on his page as they are always extremely beautiful. Any shipment of wild or aquaculture zoanthids has the potential to bring in unwanted pests or problems but most can be delt with a little precaution and planning.
