this was in the stomach of a stripped bass caught off cape may and was the largest of six , oh btw the water temp was 53 deg

wow i wonder if he got that in nj(would be awsome since im here) or if he got it in the migration maybe in virginia.

They are migrating south , this is a common thing this time of year in this area however not many people know.

now i sound like an idiot since im a fisherman as well. not realizing they migrate south not north

[Gonodactylus]

Squilla empusa, the species of stomatopod shown, occurs from the Caribbean all the way up the coast to Maine. It is common from Cape Cod south. Stomatopods are common prey items taken from the stomachs of bottom feeding fish.
