Checkout my new tube!

Definately go on the tour. I have gone the past two years and it is still cool to see their huge.setip. Plus the 10% in the retail store and eveeything you buy out of 20,000 gallons is up for grabs. Way more in their tanks than what they put online. They also give you a grab bag with lots of cool stuff along with some pretty awesome door prizes as well. Definately put it on the list of things to do. I am in central Wisconsin about 2 hours south and its well worth the drive.

I will get there. My in laws live in Lake Geneva do I get there often. It is just a matter of the timing. Thanks for the info, I'll go for sure now.

Don, will try to post a picture of mine later when I get in.

Just after finishing up removing all my old substrate, I could pass up one of the solid green cerianthus that came in, so a section of the right rear of my tank was dedicated just for it. Still 80% substrate free though ;) By strategically setting it up the reef sand in the right rear of the tank, there is minimal disruption of the substrate with the extreme gyre flow in the tank (MP40W & MP10 on the left side of the overflow). Location is also almost perfect for the cerianthus to catch food.

Nice Mike, they make a spectacular addition. The color is crazy. I can't wait to see the picture. I actually have a very thin sand bed but built up a section of mine by using some little rocks to divide an area and then filling that part with sand. With your connections maybe you can find us the aqua blue ones!

I have the pictures of it on Google+ & FB, just need to transfer them over to my album in photobucket, then to the forums.

If any pure blue ones come in you will be the second...cough...I mean first to know if I hear anything ;)

Mike

As I expected it too be. Lol The good news is, these seem to come in packs so if there is one then there are more. I know you know the honchos at DD so maybe you can get us a special order. ;);););)

Glow stick that is it! You should have grabbed one of the orange ones. You know they will look sweet in your tank. I have seen the blue ones once. It glows just the green but aqua blue. My green one was hungry when i got him so you might want to feed yours.

Only really interested in the pure green ones ;) They really stand out against the orange tubastrea.

It does have a voracious appetite; eating a ton of Argent Cyclop-eeze and Hikari Mysis.

They will eat as long as you feed them. Don't be afraid to give him some meatier things also. Mine already ate a 1/2 square piece of squid. He grew to double his size after that. Good then help me find a blue one! :lolspin:

How's the tube Mike? Mine is twice its original size..... Yea!

Awesome! Mine is doing great as well. It is definitely larger than it's original purchase size...close to 5 inches now...and still glowstick green. Diver's Den had small one posted up the other day, I wonder who it up? Someone from the forum, maybe.

Congrats on your new acquisition. The color on those things is unreal. I just saw a dive video filmed off Anacapa Island in a coldwater habitat, which included footage of tube anemones in a carpet of white brittle stars and swaying purple and red gorgonians. One of these days I need to go out and visit my sister in CA, and go diving. I'd love to see that in real life.

Btw this is my new guy !

My tank is barebottom.

I put my tube in a little hole under the liverock and i took sand/dust/rock/shell from the bottom of my tank and i fill the hole.

24 hours later...My Tube get a brand new tube from that crap.

She is always open and eating like a pig !

looks good!! My experience is they like to be under a rock, maybe more so then in the sand. All of mine have moved from the plain sand to under rocks now.
