chem levels?

I would like to getr some info about chem. levels. I have an 80 gallon long. What should my test levels be at for a good cycled tank?

As far as water conditions, they should be as follows.

PH between 8.2 and 8.4
Nitrate 0 or 00.5
Nitrite should be 0
Ammonia should also be 0

Calcium should be between 450 and 480.
But with normal water changes these leves should stay where they should.

Thanks I appriciate it. It sure is alot different going from years of freshwater exp. to the relm of the reef.

the first few weeks all you will need to test for is SG, ammonia, nitrite, PH and nitrates. once you get the tank cycled and start adding corals, then other things like calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, phosphates, and couple of others come into play.
