Chemical/Additive Question: Expirations?

I had a tank setup about 5 years ago. I've been storing all the additives and A+B coral additives and medications etc since.

I don't see an expiration on the bottles - are they all still good? Getting ready to setup a new tank in 6 or so months - but if they aren't good I will pitch it all now..

I'd replace meds and anything food-like. Things like calcium supplements I'd probs shake well and try them out. Not much to lose in a new tank if they don't work. Whereas if the meds are kaput that's a more serious problem.

^ This. Media like GFO, carbon etc are also likely OK if they were kept dry. Old meds should be ditched. But don't toss em in the trash or on the lawn. Some things like antibiotics are best disposed of during a hazardous waste collection event that many waste authorities sponsor.

Not sure if they all do this but I brought my expired meds to cvs. They have a drop off at the pharmacy. They took it no problem
