Chemiclean for removal of red cyno

Hi everyone

I have a 1200 ltr tank and want to try chemiclean, my tank has struggled with red cyno for months.
I'm in England and will have to order online as it is not stocked here!

What I would like to know is do I use the red or blue box?
And have anyone had success using it.

Thanks in advance Richard

I just finished using it this weekend. Skimmer went nuts, but the cyano is gone.

Red or blue...not sure. But it does work. However, as someone pointed out in a previous thread...if you don't correct the parameters that are causing it to grow, it will come back. So definitely try to determine what's causing it to start with.

Thanks,

My No3 is zero and Po4 0.03 so I need to lower phos.
I am confused as to which box I need, chemiclean do a red box and a blue box, I can't find any information as to which product I should use.

I used the American version Red Slime and it worked. I found my issue was I had gotten forgetful when it came to thoroughly cleaning out the insides of my power head and filter systems. Deep clean toothbrush in used aquarium water did the trick for me.

I've used it with great results. Then did nothing afterwards and cyno did not come back for about a year.

A really good skimmer makes this process a lot safer. Have a qt tank and adequate salt water for a 30% water change standing by if things go wrong, as they can.
