chemistry monitors

I was wondering,I like using pinpoint monitors to make testing much easier,but now I am building a 120g that will make 3 tanks..Buying monitors for all three systems can be costly..

Can these monitors be used as just a testing tool,or would that mess up the calibration moving them around ??

I'm sure it would affect accuracy!

I LOVE having a controller with monitor features, but I only trust it so far. They need recalibration in a stable system. Moving from system to system would almost certainly throw them out of whack.
