Cherub Angel

Understanding that there is no such thing as a reef safe angel, and therefore chancing having to take down the tank to remove. Does anyone of any experience with Cherub angels Centropyge argi ? Being as I cant have a tang in my 40 breeder, I am wanting to have at least some sort of larger "show fish" for the tank and was also looking at coral beautys and flames. The tank is mixed with a few sps softies some lps and maybe a clam soon. So anyone have any suggestions? Or an alternative fish?

this fish is about the same size as a damsel... and i think ur better of with a damsel :X
i have one.. but it isnt in a reef tank. mines NOT reef safe

I've had the cherub angel in a softy reef before and had no problems. Most of the centropyge angels are fairly safe in a reef, but there are always the exceptions.
In fact I just bought a pair of cherubs to add to my 240 that already have a flame and a coral beauty.
You may have a problem with the clam and the centropyge s

I have noticed that my flame likes to go by the only brown finger leather in my tank and take a nip out of it every once and a while.
Heck it can do that on the brown all it wants.

If I can help it I dont know if I will ever own another damsel. I swore them off a long time ago.

Anyone have any recomendations for a medium sized fish for the tank?

How about a pair of percula clowns and a anemone?

My pair of cherubs have never been a problem.
My other suggestion would be a sunburst anthius, plankton eaters, absolutely reef safe, and beautiful.

I am already planning a pair of clowns (either true percula's, black occelaris, or Bicinctus) along with a rose bubble tip. I have a randalls goby and tailspot blenny in there at the moment. But also plan to have a pair of firefish, and down the road a green mandarin. So I have some fish on the smaller side and was looking for the one somewhat larger fish to give the tank some more movement.

The cherub angels I had before, were constant movement. One following the other constantly. Then they would switch, the one being followed would turn around and start following the other. It was very entertaining.
I really don't think they were aggressively chasing each other, it was just what they did.
Good luck with them if you get one or a pair.
