Chervon Tang

My lfs has a chervon tang for sale and they are holding it for me.
But today when i went to place it on hold i noticed the tang had like a parasite or something on its 2 fins aside of its body.
They look like white lines on fins only but nothing on the body.
Can someone help me figure out what this diease is so i can treat him once he arrives at my house?

i thought about using copper thinking that would pretty much help treat prevent just about alot. but it won't help fix what the current issue is so id prefer not to but if i must i will
Also can i keep this fish in a 10 gallon tank (by its self) for the hospital treatment?

I dont think you have anything to worry about.If you put him in a hospital tank I would keep him by himself and put a piece of pvc in there for him to hide in.also keep the lights real low or even off with no sand.I have had tangs that got stuff on their fins and then went away,it wasnt ich.Good luck and keep us posted.

First, I wouldn't buy a fish that doesn't look 100% to you, especially if you don't know what the problem is. If nothing else, get the dealer's assurance that they will guarantee that this isn't a major problem with the fish. Second, if you have a REALLY well set-up 10 gallon, and the chevron is REALLY small, you could use that as a Q tank - otherwise, it is too small of a tank to use, even short term.

How many of these lines are there? Normally, I'd ask to see a picture, but since its still at the store, that would be a problem.....
