Chestpod

When photographing things like small bugs where you don't always have time to setup a tripod and angle your camera, etc would anybody recommend a chestpod?

I can't keep still for the life of me which means I can never get a sharp image, but there are some situations in which using a tripod just isn't very feasible.

I can't say what it would be like, but I would think at times it would be very annoying. Here's what I use.

As explained in other threads, one hand holds the base of the pod, the legs rest on my chest, and the edge of the upper part of the camers rests on my forehead. I also use a remote shutter in the free hand.

Did you make that or buy it? If you bought it, then where can I get something like that?

I bought it some 25 years ago, so I don't think you can find that exact one. I'm gonna be looking for a new one for a rail project I'm building. I'll look around later tonight and see what I can find.
