Chiller Flow Rate?

I've got a Custom Sea Life 1/4hp chiller and I was curious what the recommended flow rate for this chiller is. The company has either changed names or gone out of business so it's hard to find any info on it. Not sure if this makes a difference, but it's chilling about 100-150 gallons of water at the moment.

Is there a formula for determining the optimum flow rate for a chiller? Right now I've got roughly 150-200gph.

Thanks,
Jason

That sounds too low to me but I'm not expert. I have a 1/5 HP JBJ Arctica and it calls for 480 GPH.

If my memory serves me right my old Custom Sea Life 1/4hp chiller required 350-600gph. I did some comparisons to like size chillers and found that flow rates vary from 350-700gph to as extreme as 600-1000gph
Hope this helps

Of all the 1/4 hrs I have seen 600 gph it the lowest flow rate recomended. 600-1000 is a general gph. gwrench has an extreme of this number too. I agree as most people donot include head pressure.
