Chiller Placement

I am looking at getting a 1/15 HP price chiller for my 35 gallon hex and have a setup question - Reading the info, it states that I need 24" clearance on all sides (front, back and sides)...is that true? I have space open on the right side and front, but the back would be more like 3-4" from a wall, and the left side would be next to my hex stand. Would this be acceptable, or should I not buy the chiller?

That would be ideal! But I had almost the same space restriction when I had it setup and never had any problems. I think you'll be fine!

the space requirements need to be for air circulation so as long as you can place it in a position that the air will be exhausted from the chiller and fresh air can be drawn into the unit

I have a 1/10 HP chiller and not much space. It works great for almost 2 y.

All you need is a space for air and air doesn't need much...

More important is to do the maintenance as required and especially clean the filter net once a month or two.
