Chiller Question...

So its burning here in Cali and I just ordered a chiller since my tank is hitting 86-87 degrees. The question is since I can't find an answer anywhere, when I get my chiller running (JBJ Arctica 1/10hp) to my Nuvo 38, and it sucks the water into the CHILLER, won't the ATO add water to tank once it senses water level low, and once the chiller spits the water back into the TANK, won't it overfill? Sorry for noob question but I've looked everywhere online even downloaded the manual and can't find an answer.

You will need to adjust the level of your water by adding saltwater as the lines to and from the chiller as well as the condenser will require some additional volume that could trigger your ATO.

You have a pump to operate the chiller? Is it to be plumbed into existing plumbing?

Someone correct me if i have done this wrong for years or if it doesnt matter, but I have always pushed water through the chiller not pulled it.

The pump that your chiller will be running on should be on constanly. The chiller neeeds constant flow inorder to know what the temp of the water is and when to chill the water. Your water level will drop when turn on your pump for the first time. Top off with salt water(not freash you will drop your salinty.) After that, your level will remain the same so the ATO will work properly.

Thank you! Just what I wanted to hear.
