Hello,
I am looking for suggestions on what people think of chillers on bigger tanks. I have a 800 gallon reef setup. The canopy is vented outside and fresh air in from outside and sealed off from inside air. My temps are ranging around 84 degrees's. I have a three metal halides and a bunch of LED's.
I was looking at the ecoplus 1.5hp chiller or even the 1hp chiller. I have used Pacific coast 1/2 hp when I had my 400g and never had a problem but it did run allot more than when I had it on my 210g. So I figured I should go bigger to help keep the temps down and not run as long. I only have seen the ecoplus on show tanks in stores and would like to see if anyone had one on there setups. The price is reasonable so it makes me wonder.
If you have a better suggestion I am open for suggestions. If you hate the ecoplus do tell why. I like to buy equipment once.
Thanks!
Wes
