I've had my 1/5 drop in chiller for about 5 yrs now and was wondering if the refridgerant needs to be recharged in these things. If so where in socal can I have it recharged?

If you find some place, let me know. I called every AC and refridgerator repair shop in town and they wouldn't touch my chiller.

If it's still chilling well, you don't need to recharge it.

I'm actually the 2nd owner of the chiller. I bought the 1/5 Aquanetics chiller for $100 because the copper line that the cooling probe was attatched to punctured and had expelled all the refridgerant. I ended up driving to San Diego to have Aquanetics do the repair and recharge it for me. The dude at the front desk quoted me $200 for the repair and recharge, but the dude who actually did the repair told me to meet him out back after 1 hour and hand him 20 bucks lol.

Maybe try them? They're Aqua Logic now I think.
